This is a "Fler" chair by Fred Lowen (Fred LowenAM (1919–2005),
born Fritz Karl Heinz Lowenstein, was a German-Australian designer and an inductee
into the Design Institute of Australia Hall of Fame).
It has been sympathetically restored in a fabric that would be similar to it's original. The wooden frame is made from Beech timber and has been stripped and polished back to it's natural hue. The fabric is Warwick Fabrics Tangent / Peacock. The chair has wire framing and new foam in the seat squab.
